Life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

If I could live in any fictional universe, I would choose the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I would choose to live in this specific universe because all of the protagonists live well with nice, modern houses that have futuristic technology, for example, the technology that Iron Man has (Friday and Jarvis). I would also live in this universe because I want to fight evil alongside the other superheroes (the Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man are my favorite Avengers; Mantis and Drax are my favorite Guardians). I wish I was there, fighting with the others against bad guys like Thanos and the Winter Soldier. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is definitely a place I would like to live.

Tasty In-N-Out Cheeseburger

My favorite fast food restaurant is In-N-Out. Whenever I eat there, I always get the cheeseburger without onions but with savory, crunchy pickles (I LOVE pickles!), green leafy lettuce, juicy red tomatoes, and the super-tasty In-N-Out sauce (sliced up pickles mixed with ketchup and mayo (Thousand Island sauce)). On the side, I get the crispy well-done fries (I always put the extra salt on!), and I dip them (actually, let me rephrase that, scoop them!) into the (somewhat spicy) ketchup that has sooooooooo much pepper mixed in (I enjoy eating peppery ketchup.) For my drink, (if my parents let me), I get a small, refreshing pink lemonade (with ice), which I always make sure to fill the cup up as much as possible so I can get the most lemonade possible. If not, I just get a cool cup of ice water.

Sunny Desert Home

If I could design my dream home, it would look modern on the inside as well as on the outside. My house will be located in the sunny desert landscape of New Mexico right next to my paternal grandparents’ house. The front yard will have sand instead of a lawn with little cacti and desert shrubs growing every few feet. There won’t be any sprinklers because as you may know, cacti and desert shrubs don’t require a lot of water; I would water them myself via a watering schedule on my phone. The door would be bright turquoise with a silver doorknob and 3 small see-through windows, one above the other, on the upper right-hand corner. Small transparent windows will line the left and right sides of the door.

The large backyard will look just as gorgeous as the front yard. A large pool will accommodate about 75% of the backyard, while the other 25% is taken up by sand and small cacti and desert shrubs. The pool will have an ordinary-sized jacuzzi connected by a waterfall so that some of the the hot water will flow into the pool, therefore regulating the temperature of the pool, and thereby making the pool warmer. Six large matte bright turquoise pots filled with compressed sand and tiny cacti and desert shrubs sit on top of medium-sized light gray smooth concrete pedestals, 3 on each side. Each of the 6 pedestals will have a slot for a waterfall, which will be a metal matte black rectangle. Sand and larger-sized cacti and desert shrubs will line the perimeter of the backyard, which will be backed by a metal matte black fence.

Foggy London Adventure

If I could travel anywhere on planet Earth, I would visit London. I would visit London so I can visit Abbey Road Studios where The Beatles recorded their “Abbey Road” album (I’m a Beatles fan). I would also like to meet King Charles III and explore the parts of Buckingham Palace that are open to tourists. Lastly, I want to visit Big Ben and I may try to stay up late an watch the famous clock strike twelve. Additionally, I want to see Big Ben lit up at night. Finally, I want to take pictures of EVERYTHING.

All About Me!

Hello! I’m Linnea! Allow me to introduce myself.

I have a healthy, happy family of four, living comfortably in North Tustin. My family members include my mom, my dad, and my younger sister, and me, Linnea! My mom’s name is Alina and she’s 43 years old. My dad’s name is Craig and he’s 50 years old. My sister’s name is Dahlia and she’s 11 years old. And then there’s me, Linnea! I’m 12 1/2 years old.

Some of my hobbies and interests include reading, cooking and baking, and coloring. I love dystopian novels including the Hunger Games trilogy and the Divergent series, the latter I’m just starting to read! I enjoy cooking and baking because I’m a huge fan of hands-on activities, and in my opinion, cooking and baking is the best example. I always help my mom make dinner whenever she needs it, and I love this fun activity so much that I’m taking Home Economics as one of my electives this year! Let’s talk about my favorite things! My favorite color is all of the pastel colors. I like these colors because they’re light and they’re good to use when I’m coloring. My favorite food is pizza. I enjoy pizza because you can put a wide range of toppings and/or condiments on top! I personally prefer store-bought pizzas over build your own pizzas because I can never choose the best set of toppings!

This summer, I had the chance to visit my cousins for one week in Colorado! I enjoyed my time there and I’m so happy that I even went there in the first place. I did a lot of fun things including going to a trampoline park and enjoying time at a water park. The days we went to the water park, by the end of the day (3:00 PM), all of the water rides were closed due to the possibility of thunderstorms. According to the weather, on one of the days it was supposed to rain all day, so we went to a trampoline park! We had a hard time driving there because there was a hailstorm! We had to pull over because my aunt was worried that if we drove while the hail was falling, the hailstones could hit the car with more force than if we just pulled over. So to be safe, we pulled over. While we were waiting for the hailstorm to subside, she said that she was also worried that even though we were pulled over, the car could still get dented. By the time we got there, the hailstorm had turned into rain. After we parked the car in front of the trampoline park, she told us (me, my sister, and my 3 cousins (Elise, Adam, and Charlotte)) to get out and check the car for dents. Once we confirmed that there were no dents, she let out a sigh of relief. Despite all of the trouble that morning, we still managed to have a great time at the trampoline park!
